Day 2

Day 2 complete! I must say today was a little easier than yesterday.  I felt weak and a little off so I stayed in all day. Making progress and hitting the gym tomorrow!

Day 1 of 90

So today was the first day of the rest of my life. I didn't reach all of my goals but I did a lot better than usual! I stuck with my diet and when I felt the cravings for a soda (AKA my stress reliever) I resisted temptation. Now to be 100% honest, while I was in the grocery store I had to go on the pasta/rice isle and it nearly killed me. I seriously started getting lightheaded but ultimately I stayed strong. I'm so proud of my self for committing to this lifestyle change. I can't wait to start seeing progress!

My wake up call...

I weigh 282lbs. That's 112lbs over my ideal weight. That's double what my 15 year old, 5'11 daughter weighs. I'm 5'9. I look pregnant and I'm extremely uncomfortable. It is time to make a change.  I used to love running and working out but the last few years all I've done is eat and make excuses.  I'm not happy in this body. My energy is at an all time low and my blood pressure is sky high. Did I mention that I'm only 35 years old??? I know that to some following the low carb way of eating is extreme. Is it easy? No. Am I expecting overnight results? Nope. With dedication and hard work will it pay off? ABSOLUTELY! I know it's a little out there being that I have no fitness or nutrition education but I have decided to design my own 90 day transformation program. I'm going to hit every aspect of my health and fitness hard. Over the next 90 days I will do the following:

1. Eliminate all sugar from my diet.
2. Increase my water intake to 3 liters a day.
3. Eliminate all carbohydrates except vegetables.
4. Commit to two 45 minute workouts 5 days and two rest days a week.
5. Take a multivitamin every day.
6. Commit to getting at least 7 hours of sleep per night.
7. Eliminate alcohol from my diet.

I realize that this seems like a lot but I'm not getting any younger.  I want the rest of my life to be the best of my life.  Living in an obese and unhealthy body will not make that happen. I am extremely unhealthy so extreme action is required to correct that.

Please join me for this 90 day journey. Hopefully we can inspire each other!
